“For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come” – 1 Timothy 4:8
Exercise helps to maintain a healthy weight and decreases the risk of developing certain diseases such as type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. The #FeedYourSoul plan would not work without being active. If we are not physically well than we will not be mentally, emotionally or spiritually well either. Today is dedicated to determining work-out routines.
I decided to try yoga for my work-out routine. I found a YouTube channel of a 30 day yoga challenge, and was ready to start. I completed 10 days by the end of my plan, and my body felt amazing. It was important for me to commit to a routine that I could do from home. I also added cardio to my work-out plan. I would run 1-2 miles on the track behind my house 2-3x a week. I included 3 different exercises for different days. The first day consisted of 5 sets of 10 jumping jacks, sit-ups and squats. The second day included 5 sets of 10 crunches, lunges and bicycle kicks. The internet is a great tool to utilize and can provide an endless amount of work-out routines.
It is important to write down your current weight and take your measurements. Often, we get discouraged because we don’t see a difference, but numbers don’t lie. When you are able to see where you started to where you have come, the results will speak for themselves. This is not intended to be a diet regime of any sort, rather it’s purpose is to start you on an active and healthy lifestyle. By changing the way you eat, being aware of toxins and focusing on exercising, you will be on the path to feeding your soul.
