If you are alive today, you have a purpose. The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble [Proverbs 16:4]. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose [Romans 8:28]. Since God created you with purpose, why would he want you to leave this earth without accomplishing it? He doesn’t.
God does not want to see you suffer, broken or in pain, He loved you unconditionally! Your hurt, hurts God. But, because this earth is corrupt and full of sin, trouble is guaranteed in this life. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [1 Peter 5:10]. There is not escaping struggle and God knows that. He knows the hardships of this life because he lived it in the body of Jesus. He walked amongst sinners and was beaten, mocked and nailed to a cross. Jesus was killed by those He came to help but it did not stop him from fulfilling his purpose. God’s word reminds us that in the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world [John 16:33].
Believers, do not dwell on the past and the trouble you have experience, are experiencing or will experience in the future, remember the purpose. If Jesus would have decided life on earth was too hard and he could no longer carry out his earthly assignment, everyone would be doomed! What if you never live out your purpose? Who know how big the consequences would be or how many people it would effect, hundreds, thousands, millions!
If it did not kill you, it does not have the ability to stop you. Do not allow Satan to make you feel defeated, this is not the end it is only the beginning. “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you [John 15:18].”
