Watching to #FeedYourSoul

“I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me” -Psalm 103:3

The images we see, remain in our mind and influence our lives. In Psalms, we read that we must not focus our eyes on worthless things. In order to #FeedYourSoul, you must watch nourishing things. This includes fasting from whatever is harmful. Harmful things come from this world. Whatever contains violence, sex, drugs or any evilness are considered harmful for your soul. During my plan I stayed aware from reality t.v and worldstarhiphop.com. Although, worldstar was a habitual link to view, I was aware that those vine compilation clips were no way shape or form good to watch. We must refrain from viewing these images because they do not add value to our lives, rather may be used against us. In your plan, be sure to include a time and day to watching things that #FeedYourSoul.

I decided to watch documentaries and Ted talks for my plan. I scheduled a time and a day where I would watch at least one documentary and at lease one Ted talk. My favorite documentary was ‘Plastic Paradise’ on Netflix (http://plasticparadisemovie.com/). This film was extremely informative and changed my entire outlook on life and the things that I do to contribute to the ocean’s pollution. I had no idea what was going on with our planet or how I was contributing to this disaster. I will no longer look at a plastic bag the same and now use paper bags whenever I go grocery shopping. If I had not taken the time to schedule ‘documentary time’ I doubt that I would of ever seen this film. I love Ted Talks and the great speakers that share their stories, and encourage others to watch it as well.

My documentary #Unplugged changed my life. The biggest distraction in life is social media, which stole my focus from my relationship with The Lord. In my documentary, I chose to take a 12 week no social media fast in order to refocus my attention on feeding my soul. This short film will bring awareness to areas in your life that are lacking and help regain faith. By shifting your priorities, making God #1 in your life and removing all distractions, you will be able to hear God’s voice and grow in faith. Please feel free to leave comments or questions about #Unplugged.
