Playful Prayer
Whoever said God does not have a sense of humor was a boring person. We do not need to be robots while praying, or worry about saying the wrong thing. One great thing about prayer is that God could understand us even if we never say a word. God knows our hearts! Prayer should be exciting and fun! God knows the personality we have, and loves us just the way we are. We do not need to ‘act’ in any way or pretend to be someone we are not while praying. There is no right or wrong thing to say while praying, just be honest and let your words flow.
“He will yet fill your mouth with laugher and your lips with shouts of joy” -Job 8:21
Now that you have read about The Power of Prayer, and The Power of Believing, it is time to experience The Power of Prayer. Today’s challenge is to pray for 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night. Make sure that you are in a quiet place, and allow your mind to be open and free from any restrictions. Let your prayers speak from the heart, and allow God to fill you with his spirit. Do not be afraid to laugh a little, act silly or crack jokes with God! When we laugh, he laughs too! However, when we cry he cries too. God wants to be the one to wipe away all your tears, and remove any pain from our lives, we just have to acknowledge that he can. If you are going through a difficult time, ask God to bring out the spirit of Joy and flood you with laughter!
Enjoy prayer time !
