“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
Peace is precious and must be guarded. Tranquility is a vibe that many take for granted. To experience peace does not mean that everything in life is going perfect rather it means despite any negatives, you can remain positive. If someone comes to you with their problem, stress or drama, you must not absorb their negative energy. This is how you protect your peace. It starts with self-awareness. By understanding the transference of energy, you are able to block out bad vibes and accept good vibes only. Do not allow another to determine your peace. True peace comes from within.
“Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.” – 1 Peter 3:11
In order to be at peace, one must be living righteously. We will not be able to enjoy peace, if we are living in corruption or plotting evil. The wicked never prosper. By accepting responsibility, thinking positively and controlling your actions, you are able to protect your peace. There are people in this world who are sent to destroy your peace of mind, steal you joy and kill your vibes. If you are not aware of who these people are than you will not be aware when they attack your peace. It is important to keep positive people in your circle and keep negatives ones out. Choose your friends wisely, not everyone deserves to be in your presence.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”- Romans 15:13
Pray with me,
Lord, please help me to protect my peace. I ask that you renew my mind and bring humility into my heart. Cover me with your peace and help me to fix my mind on things above. Surround me with God-fearing positive people who will add to my life and not subtract from it. Reveal to me those who are good for me and those who are doing harm. When I feel stressed, worried or afraid, remind me of your Love and truth so that my faith may grow stronger. Thank-you Lord for Jesus Christ who has given me the opportunity to live with your peace and Spirit. I know that you will not just give me peace, but you are my peace. I lift up your holy name. May my life bring glory to the Kingdom, in Jesus name. Amen!
