Let All That You Do Be Done In Love

Today is Valentines Day, one of the most controversial Holidays ever! Some people love Valentines Day while others wish it never existed. This tradition of teddy bears, flowers and chocolates brings joy to some while making other nausea. Although, there is some truth to the overly advertised scheme of this day, one thing to keep in mind is its purpose. A day to express and acknowledge all things LOVE.

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” – Colossians 3:14

Whether you have a Valentines date or you plan on spending the night alone with a good book and glass of wine, I encourage you to focus on love. The love you have for your friends and family, the love of your passions and goals but most importantly the Love your Heavenly Father has for you. God’s love for you is unconditional, he sent his one and only son into this world to cover your sins in order to be made right with him. Love has reconciled you and given you The Spirit of God to help guide you in your journey on earth.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” – John 15:3

You are a mighty warrior of Christ! Your are loved unconditionally! You are victorious! You are called for greatness simply because you are a child of the most high! Now, go out into the world and love others. Let people see God in you by expressing unconditional love to those you encounter. Hold the door for the elderly woman, give food to the needy, write a love note to your spouse or shower your parents with hugs and kisses. I pray that today is filled with peace and love, may you have a blessed Valentines Day and remember how loved you truly are!

“We love because he first loved us” – 1 John 4:19
