There is no sin, in all of the world, that God will not forgive. No matter how big, horrific or unforgivable a person may feel about their actions, God will always forgive. The Lord views all sin equally, there is no sin greater or lesser than another. God knows that their is not one single person in the entire world that is sinless.Because of this, He created a chance for us to be forgiven forever, so that we are free from the consequences of our sins.
The truth is that, we are already forgiven. Despite how we may feel, Christ has already died on the cross and it is up to us to accept or deny him. When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, not only do we get the gift of The Holy Spirit but we also get eternal forgivness. According to the scripture, 1 John 1:9 says “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and Just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Often people allow their thoughts, emotions or experiences to make them feel they are not worthy of forgiveness, which is what Satan seeks to do. Satan enjoys when we fill our head with doubt and unworthiness because He wants to keep you away from seeking the Lord. Instead of running away from God, run towards Him. God is here to help us, and will lift us up in the worse of times. But, He can’t help us if we don’t seek Him. The apostle Paul persecuted Christians and destroyed churches. His mission was to keep people from spreading the good news of the gospel. He felt that he was less deserving of all people, yet He was still forgiven and God used Him in a great way. He once believed that His sin was too Big to be forgiven. Yet, God transformed Paul from a murder to a believer. Because Paul ran toward God and not away, God was able to use him for His glory, which resulted in Paul writing majority of the new testament.
This let’s us know that forgiveness takes place after repentance. The truth is that, we can never run nor hide from the Lord so why try? Since, God knows our hearts, there is nothing that He does not already know. In order to remove guilt, shame, insecurities, or regret: We must Pray. When we ask God for forgiveness, it shows our vulnerability and dependence on Him. He wants us to seek Him before anything else, and when we do, He will bless us in return.
