Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord [Ephesians 6:4]
Today is a day to honor Father’s around the world. The role of a Dad is not easy, it requires integrity, strength and courage. It takes endurance, wisdom and patience to be the head of the house. Being a provider, rescuer and helper is hard work which is why Dad’s need love and support. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
The greatest Father of all, is our Heavenly Father, whom is doing good works in each and every one of us. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? [Luke 11:11-12]. God is a loving Father who gives freely to His children when they ask. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him [1 John 3:1].
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him [Proverbs 23:24].
