It is impossible to see the future, if you are human. Anxiety, worry and doubt creep into the minds of those who fear the unknown. What will happen in the future? How am I going to pay the bills? Where will I sleep tonight? Questions about the unknown can either grow faith or block faith from growing.
Believers, you are limited in knowledge of the future which allows fear the opportunity to manifest in your thoughts and hearts. If you allow it! This is the ‘easier said than done’ part. Do not entertain fearful thoughts or focus your mind on negativity. God did not give you a Spirit of Fear, but of power and love and self-control [2 Timothy 1:7]. It is important to remain connected to the source of all wisdom. The power that knows the beginning and the end. The Lord Almighty! The best part of having a direct connection with The Most High is that He will and has already got you through it. Victory was won when Jesus died on the cross and fear became an illusion when He rose 3 days later. Claim your victory and quiet your fears!
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
– Exodus 14: 14
Believers, you do not need to rely on your own strength. You do not need to walk around carrying your fears, doubts or worries, eventually it will be to heavy a burden to carry alone. Instead, cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you [1 Peter 5:7]. Do not fear the unknown, embrace the uncertainty knowing that the God of the universe is at work in your life for the greater good. You may not have answers but trust that God does. You may not know what your future holds, but God already created one for you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own [Matthew 6:34].
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. Let God’s love enter your heart and rest your soul. Life is good but also short. There is not time to waste thinking about fear. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you [Isaiah 35:4].”
