“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” -Proverbs 3:5
Have you every prayed for God to make a change in your life but than doubt the possibility of it happening by complaining to a friend, spending time in depression or stressing about the unknown? Did your prayer really contain faith or were you speaking just to speak? It may have sounded good, but sounds don’t impress God, our faith does. God doesn’t just listen to our words, He hears our hearts. If we want to start receiving confirmation and answers to our prayers, it starts with our level of faith. Faith without works is dead and empty prayers get empty answers. Praying is our opportunity to communicate with God, a privilege that many generations before us did not have. Are you taking advantage of this opportunity of prayer or does doubt, fear and stress take over subconsciously?
“If we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself” – 2 Timothy 2:13
When we pray God listens but without faith, our prayers never reach the Heavens. The only way to get God’s attention is through faith. Pray with faith and wait patiently with confident hope knowing that The Lord is already moving things in your life and working for your greater good even when you do not see change. When we do not see a way, God has already created the way. As humans, we can only see what meets the eye but God can see forever. We are limited in our knowledge but God possess infinite wisdom.
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations” – Deuteronomy 7:9
Why worry about the how in situations, when we just need to keep faith in the when. The beauty of God’s promises is that they will always come to pass. We are not required to figure out how we are going to achieve the impossible, we are only required to have faith that God will provide when the time is right. Faith is the only way our prayers are made valid and without it we are only fooling ourselves. Allow your faith to be bigger than your voice and believe in God’s faithfulness to answer and His time when He does.
