“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.” -Proverbs 9:9
We learn from experience. When mom tells her toddler not to touch the stove, she tell her child this not to be mean but to protect her baby. Although, the toddler was warned, he reaches his hand out again and touches the stove, only to find out, mom was right. This situation is similar to many of us, who learn from the mistakes we make.
Every situation we go through is all apart of a bigger plan. We know that a stove is hot because of our first encounter. We will never touch a stove again because we know the consequences that follows. This one time of stove touching will be apart of our future for years to come. We know the sacrifice that Jesus made for us has set us up for our future with God. We are no longer stuck in our old ways but we are born again and made right with The Lord through His Son. So, we don’t need to try and touch the stove, we can listen the first time and trust not to touch it. When God tells us things through His word, it is wise to listen the first time.
Regardless of our experiences, whether good or bad, moments are meant to teach us a lesson. If we understand that bad things happen to build character, prepare us for bigger blessings and need to happen so that we may learn, than it will be easier to appreciate even the worse of times. Struggles are temporary. We must see focus on the lesson and not the situation.

Today, let us enjoy the experience of simply, living. Take a deep breath in and out. Big inhale and slow exhale. God gave you that breath. God gave you the experience of yesterday and plans on giving you the experience of today. Allow yourself to embrace every second of life and understand each day as being a part of God’s glorious plan.
“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance” -Proverbs 1:5
