Matthew 17:14
Jesus has the Holy Spirit. We have the Holy Spirit within us. The Holy Spirit is all things that bring Joy, Happiness and Peace. Demons are evil Spirits. Demons seek trouble and cause harm to those it encounters. Demons want to control our actions and distract us from God’s purpose in our lives. We live in a world that is under spiritual attack, Good Vs. Evil.
In this story, a father begged Jesus to heal his demon possessed child. This child was having seizures, severe pain and lost control over his body. Jesus told the father “You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus removed the demon and healed the boy.
Jesus disciples’ asked “how come it did not work when we tried to heal the child?” and Jesus replied “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible.“
Jesus wanted his disciples to know that with very little of faith, big things can happen. God will be at work, when we believe. Jesus said all we need is a mustard seed of faith and we could move mountains. If we believe that we are capable of such miracles, than we are setting ourselves up for failure. But if we believe that with God anything is possible, than he will let it be revealed to us. Always, Smile With Faith !
