right thing God is Righteous

God is Righteous

“In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” – Proverbs 12:28

Righteousness by definition is (of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous. It is in God’s nature to be righteous.right He can only do what is right and good. The enemy likes to confuse us and get us to blame God for things He has done. “God, why did you give me this deadly disease? Why did you allow me to get raped? Why did you take my mother?.” When we start questioning the righteousness of God, we must ask ourselves, is it God or is it me? Although, Satan is the culprit behind all the evil in the world; What Satan uses for bad, God will use for good. God’s path of righteousness leads to life and death doesn’t exist. Whereas, Satan’s path always ends in death. The ‘bad’ things of this world are not because of God, rather God knows bad things will happen and has given us a way to escape. We live in a fallen world and by nature are sinful, if it was up to us, we would all be spending eternity in hell. But, because of God’s righteousness and love for us, we have the opportunity to be forgiven.

“But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” – Romans 3:21-23

jesus‘The righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law’ tells us that we no longer need to live by the old laws of Moses, rather we can live solely by our faith in Jesus Christ. In the old testament, when people sinned they had to provide burnt offerings and sacrifice animals to be forgiven. In our time, all we need to do is pray and repent! How simple is that? By confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness, we receive forgiveness. The blood of Christ redeemed the world and saved us from walking down the path of death. We are all sinners and no one is perfect. But, because of God’s righteousness we are made right through Christ.

“Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” – Philippians 1:11
