hate Day 6: Satan is Hatred and God is Love

Day 6: Satan is Hatred and God is Love

“Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.” – Proverbs 10:12

Satan is hatred and God is love. Satan is darkness and God is light. Satan is evil and God is Good. Satan is the opposite of God. Whatever is bad or unholy comes from The enemy. When hatred starts to surface through words, actions or intentions than Satan is at work. We must be aware of our feelings towards others and how we come across to others so that we are living Christ-Like according to God’s will. Hatred comes in many forms; Discrimination. sexism, abuse, miscommunication or traumatic experiences. Hate may seem like an option but the truth is that we should not accept hatred into our heart. Hatred is used to keep us from experiencing a genuine relationship with Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. The longer we live in hate, the loner we prolong our blessings and opportunity of eternity in God’s Kingdom. Instead, we allow Satan’s tricks to reflect our image of self and how we interact with others.

“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers” – Proverbs 6:16-19

How can a Loving God express hatred? There is a difference between feeling hatred toward something and acting in hatred toward someone. Don’t get it twisted! Just because God is good and faithful doesn’t mean we can take advantage of his kindness. God is perfect and if there are things that He hates, than there are things that we should hate. His word makes it clear that God hates these 7 things: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, false witness who speaks lies and someone who create conflict among others. If God hates it, than We should hate it. When the enemy tries to tempt us and lead us down the path of things God hates, be aware that He is setting us up for failure and we must walk the opposite way.

“Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” – 1 John 3:15
