Day 2: Procrastination is the seed of failure

“The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied” – Proverbs 13:4

The devil uses procrastination against us to keep us separated from God. His plan is to keep us separated from God and that we never reach our divine purpose. Procrastination is a weapon that is used against us and can ultimately lead to our downfall. When we think “I’ll get to it tomorrow” or “I will do it later”, we are only fooling ourselves. Tomorrow is not promised, so we could never put off what needs to be done today for a tomorrow that might not arrive. Procrastination is defeated with discipline and urgency.

The sluggard does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing” -Proverbs 20:4

A man that does not work does not eat. We will not receive bigger blessings until The Lord sees that we are ready. Procrastination produces failure and there is nothing more that the Devil wants than to see us fail. But, because God loves us so much and wants nothing more than for us to win, we have the necessary tools to overcome procrastination. God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit which leads us down the right path, far away from procrastination. If you are finding yourself putting things off or waiting till last minute, remind yourself, procrastination is the devil. You can and will do what you can today, today!

Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning” -Luke 12:35
