Consistency Brings Break Through

“So that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody” – 1 Thessalonians 4:12

Success comes when we become consistent. From eating healthy to exercising or even reading more, consistency is something that I struggle with daily. Our daily lives reflect who we are and who we will become. In Thessalonians, we are reminded that being consistent is not only for our benefit but it is beneficial to those around us. Our spouse, friend, client, co-worker or neighbor see how we live and if we are not aware of our inconsistencies, we can taint our reputation. It is important that we apply discipline in our daily lives and consistency is key. If a 500lb person were to tell you reasons why you need to eat healthy, would you listen?  The truth is, we are less likely to do what someone says, if they do not even do what they say.

As believers, we have a responsibility to lead by example and not just tell others to live a godly life. We must show others how to live righteously with the way we speak, act and live. When consistency becomes apart of our daily lives, we open the door to opportunities for ourselves and those around us. Set goals, accomplish them and remain consistent. It’s a lot easier said than done but it is mind over matter. Remember, God has already given you the necessary tools to be consistent. You are capable and able to accomplish all things set forth. It is time to start living with consistency and experiencing all the blessings God has in store. Breakthrough comes when consistency is constant.

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom” – James 3:13
