“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” – Matthew 6:14
God’s word is simple and straight to the point when it comes to forgiving. If we do not forgive someone, than God will not forgive us. Forgiveness is a necessary ingredient in the recipe of faith. Faith is made through experiencing God’s love and knowing His word. When we are hurt and act in anger, our actions will lead us down a destructive path. We may feel that this person is not worthy of our forgiveness or they must feel the pain we feel; This is what The Enemy wants.
Satan uses our emotions to create a bridge between us and The Lord. When we do not forgive others, it separates us from God and His grace. By holding on to grudges we create a world of unnecessary stress and tension within our minds. We must learn to forgive for our own physical and mental well being.
