Day by day, it may feel like nothing is changing. Yet, when you look back nothing is the same.

Matthew 6:34 reminds us, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. It can feel overwhelming thinking about what will happen in the future. This excessive worrying or fearfulness is known as anxiety. We become consumed with “what if” scenarios that will cause our thoughts to spiral resulting in self-doubt, lack of faith or physical symptoms such as panic attacks.

Today, I encourage you to take life one day at a time. Focus on the next 24hrs. It only takes one day, one moment and one thought to change one life. I am reminded of the day I was baptized. When I gave my life to Christ, I was transformed. The moment I emerged from the water, I felt renewed. In a matter of seconds I was filled with a million thoughts. Yet, when I rose from the water, the only thought that stayed was salvation.

The beauty of being a Believer and letting The Holy Spirit guide you is that you do not have to live with worry or fear. Yes, the unknown can be scary. Yes, you may not have the answers to all of life’s decisions. Yes, you will fall and make mistakes. BUT! take heart for He has already overcome the world. Tomorrow will worry about itself, so enjoy today. Take deep breaths. Speak positive affirmations over your life and remember how much God loves you. View yourself through HIS lens and know that you are enough.
