Morning Prayer #5: Confidence

Lord,

Please give me the confidence to be who you have called me to be. Help me to overcome the pressures of this world and focus on you. I pray that you reveal to me the areas of my life that need to be changed for the better. Help me to be Christ-like and to understand the power that I have within. For I know that you have given me power and authority through Jesus and I pray for the boldness to use it. When I am at my weakest, you are at your strongest and I trust in you all the days of my life.

There are times when my self-esteem is low but it is only because I am not looking at my self through your eyes. I am wonderfully and fearfully created in your image and I thank-you Lord for your grace. I pray that The Holy Spirit reminds me of my worth during times of trouble. Help me to be confident in this world Lord, so that I can be a mighty warrior for the Kingdom of God. Thank-You Lord for your unconditional love and Jesus who came into this world and made me right with you. Your love is infinite and there is none like you. I ask for confidence to stand tall and Godfidence to know who I am in you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.’ – 2 Corinthians 12:9
